White Deer Landing held its Neighborhood Crime Watch Meeting at the Chapel of the Lake Church May 14. The guest speakers were Steven D. Stewart, operator of White Deer Landing and Autumn Point Acres manufactured home communities and Pastor Douglas Erickson of the Chapel of the Lake Church. Stewart and Pastor Erickson spoke about recent crime activities in the neighborhood and ways to prevent being victims of crime. Pastor Erickson shared that he was working in the community to help people with addictions through a 12-Step Program called Hurts, Habits and Hang-ups, which he holds every Thursday night from 7-8 p.m. Twenty-two people attended the meeting including (front row, l-r) Norman Irwin, Jerry Marsh, Ray Willis, Carroll Provence, Patsy Provence, Judy Kelsey, Steven Stewart, (back row, l-r) Bette Stanford, John Stanford, Paul Hood, Jacqueline Vanderwind, Loretta Sanford, Pete Cook, Terry Roe, Paster Doug Erickson, James Brown, Julie Hoey, Jerry Roe, John Womble and Buck Derr.
