Early Voting in the Saturday, May 4 city election in Wills Point got off to a slow start April 22 as a total of four voters participated. Early Voting continues through Tuesday, April 30.
National Day of Prayer to be observed May 2

The 73rd annual National Day of Prayer is scheduled for Thursday, May 2. The event will be held at the Van Zandt County Courthouse in Canton with the prayer service beginning at 12:15 p.m. and continuing until 12:45 p.m.

I almost always have the hunt planned out in my mind before I ever hit the woods, everything from the time I expect game (hogs this time of year) to show up to the seasoning I plan to use on the meat I harvest.

WP resident becomes field service technician

The first time that Terrance “TJ” Holland of Wills Point attended a job fair at Texas State Technical College’s Marshall location, he came across Sunstate Equipment. He now works for the construction rental company’s Balch Springs branch as its youngest field service technician.
