Only a month away from school starting, and it is very important for parents to visit with their children about all the school activities available to them. This is especially true for socioeconomically disadvantaged students. Why is it important for students to join the sports teams, band, or other happenings within the school setting?

August 6: Wills Point ISD will host its annual Back to School event, which provides free school supplies, haircuts, dental supplies, eye screenings and vaccinations to students that qualify for free and reduced lunches, at the high school campus. June 10: The Terrell State Hospital Volunteer Services Council’s third annual Patient Art Show and Silent Auction will take place June 10 from 6-8:30 p.m. at The Shops at Terrell located at 301 Tanger Drive. Organizers stated, “Tickets are $20 and a light bar and hors d’oeuvre’s will be served during the auction.
