A native of Texas, she was born to Herman Ross Hunt and Nora Belle Hunt October 3, 192, in Mount Enterprise (Rusk County).

As a child, she attended Patrick School transferring to Henderson HS for her senior year (1941-1942). After graduating, she tried to “find herself” and “took business courses which was the most boring thing she ever did.”

When WWII was breaking out and in high gear, she went to Pasadena for a short time to get a job in a factory manufacturing arms for the war effort. Her brother, Chester, was also there.

She always wanted to be a nurse and got into an LVN program at Timberlawn in Dallas. While in Dallas, she met and married the love of her life, Buck W. Wade, Jr. in 1947 and they celebrated 68 years of marriage together. They were blessed with two daughters, Diane Elizabeth, and Pamela Denise. Inez’s main focus was her home and family.

When her children were nearing adulthood, she returned to school and finished her RN degree. In 1994, she was selected as Methodist Medical Center’s DFW Great 100 Nurses representative. Her hands had a caring healing touch. From the time when she was a young girl rocking her younger brother that was ill, and later caring for other family members with challenging illnesses to the patients she cared for on a daily basis. Her hands had a soothing touch.

After retirement, she and B.W. moved to Wills Point. Together, they renovated a farmhouse and stayed very busy tending to the acreage, and their many hobbies. From gardening on their little plot of land and in their orchard, or raising hydroponic tomatoes in their greenhouse, to raising bees, and fishing in their pond, they loved sharing the fruits of their labor with relatives, friends and neighbors. Inez took art lessons and created a number of paintings. She won ribbons at the county fair for her paintings and jars of jelly and honey. She belonged to the East Texas Beekeepers Association, volunteered at the Food Bank and Humane Society and numerous other organizations. She was a member of Russell Memorial United Methodist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, B. W. Wade, Jr., her daughter, Pamela Denise Wade Estes, and seven siblings; Chester, Lloyd, Sam and Jim Hunt, Macie Scarborough, Grace Robertson, and Billie Hall. She is survived by her daughter, Diane Elizabeth Andrae (Don), grandchildren Chad Michael Andrae (Mollie), Todd Wade Andrae (Lauryl), Cody Estes (Megan) as well as siblings John and Joe Hunt, Sue Leverette and Gwen Verma, seven great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews and lifelong friends.
