Joyce Faye Hosick, a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister, passed away peacefully on Oct. 17, 2023, in her hometown of Wills Point. Born on Nov. 28, 1937, to Charles E. Goss and Esther Morris, Joyce lived a life filled with love, kindness, and thoughtfulness.

Joyce was a proud graduate of Wills Point High School, Class of 1956. Her dedication to education and hard work led her to a fulfilling career as an Administrative Secretary at Baylor Hospital in Dallas. She retired in 2000 after many years of dedicated service, leaving behind a legacy of professionalism and commitment.

Joyce was a woman of many interests. She had a knack for refinishing furniture, transforming worn-out pieces into beautiful works of art. Her love for garage sales was well-known among her friends and family, as she could always find the hidden gems among the clutter. A voracious reader, Joyce could often be found with a book in her hand, lost in a world of words. Above all, she cherished spending time with her family, creating memories that will be treasured forever.

Joyce was predeceased by her father, Charles E. Goss; her mother, Esther Morris; her sister, Sue Ingram; her grandson, Jimy Malone; her niece, Dawn Parker; and her son-in-law, Keith Glenn. She is survived by her daughters, Debbie Tisdale and husband, Robert, of Wills Point, Linda Glenn of Dallas, Lisa Bailey and husband, Dan, of Frankston, and Brooke Bellido and husband, Anthony, of Dallas. She is also survived by her sister, Jeta Brewer.

Joyce was a proud grandmother to Leslie Black and husband, Eddie; Hudnal Tisdale and wife, Lacy, Justin Bailey, Jaci Purser and husband, Brannen, Erin Penny and fiancé, Jay; Erica Wooldridge and husband, Luke, and Laci Hardin. She was also a great-grandmother to Reagan, Garrett, Colter, Chelsea, Michael, Brady, Molly, Miles, Justyce, and Brooklyn. She was blessed with one great-great-grandchild, Rachael, who will carry on her legacy.

Joyce was a woman of immense love and kindness. She was always thoughtful, considering the needs and feelings of others before her own. Her warm and loving nature was a beacon of light to all who knew her. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Joyce’s life was a testament to the power of love, kindness, and thoughtfulness. Her legacy will live on in the hearts and minds of those she touched. Her family will remember her as a loving mother, a doting grandmother, and a caring sister. Her friends will remember her as a kind and thoughtful woman who always had a smile on her face.

Joyce Faye Hosick was a remarkable woman who lived a full and meaningful life. She will be remembered for her love for her family, her dedication to her work, and her passion for her hobbies. Her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.

Services to honor Joyce are scheduled for Friday, Oct. 27, 2023, with visitation at 10 a.m. and a memorial service at 11 a.m. Services will be held at New Release Fellowship Baptist Church located at 1900 Goodnight Blvd. #1700, Wills Point.
