Terrell’s own country/rock music star, Kaelynn Nikole, is excited to be the opener for the BFTS Museum’s July 3rd fundraiser at the Terrell Municipal Airport that features the American Country Music nominated band, A Thousand Horses.

The Nashville based group has toured alongside Jason Aldean and Lynyrd Skynrd, Michael Hobby, Bill Satcher, Zach Brown and Graham DeLoach’s “Smoke” was a Platinum certified single that was quickly followed by “(This Ain’t No) Drunk Dial” from the album Southernality. Tickets are $30 at https://terrellfreedomfest.rsvpify.com. Gates open at 6 pm. Ms. Nikole will start her performance on the Michelob Ultra concert stage at 7:15. “I’m really excited to be opening for a group that mixes country, Southern soul and rock ‘n’ roll the way this group does,” she said. “It’s such a fun sound that touches all genres so the music will appeal to everyone.”

While just a youngster, Kaelynn began singing gospel music in church. As a teenager, she entered a number of singing competitions and won each one, along with numerous beauty pageants. She appeared on Good Morning America when she sang the National Anthem for the opening ceremonies of The Mesquite Rodeo in 2019. She has opened for country artists Stoney LaRue and Trey Lewis as well as headlined her own shows at the Silver Saloon.

She is passionate about the country/rock genre and has written and released three songs – Anymore, Cheers and Letting Go - that are now available on all streaming platforms. Friends follow her performances on www./facebook.com/KaelynnNikole.
