The Wills Point ISD Bookmobile will once again hit the road during the week ahead, resuming its summer tour after two weeks away due to the recent July 4 holiday.

The district launched the bookmobile project several years ago to help keep local youngsters reading and engaged throughout the summer months, and to help offset the usual summer losses that can occur when children are away from the classroom.

Stops each Wednesday will include:

-The Village Learning Academy: 9-9:45 a.m.

-First Baptist Learning Center: 10 a.m. - noon

-Methodist Day School: 1:15-2:00 p.m.

Organizers behind the Bookmobile stated, “Come join us in our air-conditioned Bookmobile and check out some great new books to read. There is a free book checkout for all children and lots of new books for all ages. Library cards will be issued at your first visit. We will also be limiting the number of students on the Bookmobile at one time to help with keeping things clean and safe.

“Snacks will be available at every stop. Each time students check out books, their name goes into a drawing for prizes. The more you visit, the more chances you have to win!”

The Bookmobile last run of the summer will take place July 27.
