The Wills Point Lady Tigers ran out to a 9-0 first-period lead and never looked back against the Eustace Lady Bulldogs during Dec. 8 non-district action, winning 39-12.
In preparation for the upcoming University Interscholastic League’s District Realignment announcement in February 2024, the UIL released its reclassifi cation high school enrollment numbers Dec. 8 for the 2024-25 and the 2025-26 school years.
A number of Wills Point Tigers were named to the recently released District 6-4A All-District Football Team and they included the following: ‘First Team Offense’: Junior quarterback Jett Fletcher, senior running back Larandion Dowden, senior wide receiver Bryce McDaniel, senior offensive lineman Jonathon Marshall, and senior OL Dakota Ryder. Fletcher and Dowden were unanimous selections.
The Wills Point Lady Tigers placed several players on the District 6-4A, Division 2, All-District Volleyball Team announced recently. Representing Wills Point were the following athletes: First Team: Hunter Stokes. Second Team: Jyllian Phillips and Mavery Salisbury.
Through three games this season, the Wills Point Tiger varsity boys’ basketball team holds a 1-2 record as they have defeated Paris North Lamar, 56-40, and lost to North Hopkins, 48-38, and Dallas Life Oak Cliff, 50-45.
