The Wills Point Tiger tennis program spent plenty of time on the court over the past week, squaring off against Sunnyvale and Caddo Mills in district play and Tyler High in non-district action. Wills Point would go a combined 55-2 in matches played over the course of those three days, moving their overall season mark to 12-1 heading into the new week. The Tigers were scheduled to clash with longtime rival Kaufman Sept. 29 in another key district matchup.

The Wills Point Tiger tennis program defended its home court with ease Sept. 8, improving their overall season record to 9-1 with a 16-3 rout of Sulphur Springs. Wills Point now hits the most important portion of its schedule with district play set to open Sept. 15 at home against Sunnyvale. Other upcoming matches will include a home date against both Caddo Mills and Farmersville Sept. 17, and a trip to Peaster Sept. 19.
