More than 500 helped at Back 2 School Fair

Organizations and individuals from around the Wills Point community opened their hearts last week, volunteering their time, goods and services to help ease the stresses that come with the start of a new school year at the 6th annual Back 2 School Fair.

The fair, put on through a joint effort by the Wills Point ISD, Wills Point PTO and Wills Point Chamber of Commerce, collects and distributes school supplies to students who qualify for free and/or reduced lunches each year.

Additional services provided through the efforts of volunteers includes haircuts, the distribution of dental and hygiene supplies, eye screenings and vaccinations.

The Back 2 School Fair has grown every year since its inception, growing from 413 students assisted in 2016 to 512 in 2017.
