Longtime WPISD educator retires

Winifread Williams was awarded a certificate of appreciation for her 32 years of loyal and dedicated service in Wills Point ISD.

The plaque was presented to Williams by Superintendent Scott Caloss on May 30, 2017.

While working for WPISD, she was selected teacher of the month several times by her co-workers.

Williams is a graduate of Marshall High School. She received a bachelor’s degree from Wiley College and a master’s degree from Stephen F. Austin State University in Nacogdoches.

She is a loyal member of the Oak Hill Baptist Church in Marshall. While in Wills Point, she attends Pleasant Hill Baptist Church. Her proud parents are Curtis (deceased) and Addie.

A retirement party was given for her and four other co-workers May 18 at the Woods Intermediate Library.
