The Jesse Miller Foster Chapter of the United Daughters of the Confederacy held its regular November meeting at the Dairy Palace in Canton Monday, Nov. 21.

The guest speaker was Paula Jacobs Kirkpatrick of Canton. She brought a quilt that commemorated her civil war ancestors.  Each block design was from 1865 and had a special meaning for an ancestor.  For example, her ancestor who served in Texas had the quilt block called "Texas Tears."

Shown in front of the quilt are Chapter President Donna Carter and Kirkpatrick.

The Chapter meets every third Monday and visitors are always welcome, members said.
