Do you like cooking, fashion, public speaking, or livestock? Then we have a program for you!

If you are interested in nutrition and foods, fashion design, shooting sports, archery, robotics, photography, consumer, nutrition, leadership, community service, nutrition or horse quiz bowl, beef and horse judging plus just about anything else you can think of then Van Zandt 4-H can offer you a program that will meet your interest.

All Van Zandt County 4-H members are invited come join us from 2 to 5 p.m. Aug. 27 at the Grand Saline Public Pool, 500 E. Frank St, in Grand Saline.

4-H members will have a time cool off with a splash in the pool, enjoy a hot dog, win door prizes, and meet other 4-H members from across the county!   Admission to the pool party is free with a 2016 –2017 4-H Membership.

New members may sign up on site.

Last year’s members go to the 4-H Connect website and re-enroll for the 2016-‘17 year.

Proof of membership will be required for admission.

The cost to join 4-H is $20 per child until Oct. 31 then it goes up to $25.

Remember…4-H offers something for everyone ages 9n to 18.

It’s never too soon to start preparing for college scholarships and Texas 4-H awards 225 scholarships each year to students who can demonstrate that they have experienced 4-H, have a financial need, and have a strong academic record.  The scholarships range from $1,000 to $20,000.

Van Zandt County 4-H also awards locally several scholarships each year totaling up to $3250.
