Jendrzejewski to receive presidential scholarship

Wills Point resident Lauren Jendrzejewski has been selected to receive a presidential scholarship to attend Shorter University.

The presidential scholarship provides tuition for incoming freshmen for eight semesters. To qualify for this scholarship, a student must hold at least a 3.5 grade point average and a 1100 SAT (in critical reading and math) or 24 ACT score. Scholarship recipients must then maintain a 3.25 cumulative grade point average at Shorter.

Lauren is the daughter of Rodney and Natosha Jendrzejewski of Wills Point. She is graduating with honors from Wills Point High School. She has been involved in competitive theatre for the last four years, taking home both Best Supporting Actress and All Star Cast awards. She has received four Who’s Who awards and was an Honor Junior. She has also has been very involved with her youth group, serving as a small group leader and attending for six years. She taught Vacation Bible School and was a Shepherd at Preteen camp.
