Showteam competes at Rodeo Austin

The Wills Point FFA Showteam traveled to Rodeo Austin this past weekend to participate in the Junior Livestock Show. The team met overcame strong competition in each breed and came home successful.

Logan Morris entered his Angus heifer Queen in Class 8 and won first place. Logan then returned to the ring for the Division Champion drive. Kaden Morris competed with his Angus heifer Jilt in Class 3 and brought home a successful second place.

In the Hereford Division Cody Tucker competed with his Polled Hereford heifer Rachel in Class 7 winning third place.

Krista Lambeth entered the ring with her Santa Gertrudis heifer Cyah in Class 7 placing eighth.

The Brangus show brought Tori Goggans and her heifer Ella into the ring in Class 7 winning 10th place.

Cheryl Kinney of the WPHS Ag Science Department stated, "All of the students have worked very hard this year with their projects and have each experienced success. The team will compete at the Van Zandt County Fair April 9 during the Junior and Open Show. Please come out and support all of our Van Zandt County youth at the fair the week of April 6-9."
