Webb, Magee to lead Class of 2015

Valedictorian Ben Webb and Salutatorian Stephen Magee are scheduled to lead the Wills Point High School Class of 2015 through commencement exercises at Sunnyvale First Baptist Church in Mesquite at 4 p.m. Saturday, June 6.

Ben Travis Webb is the 19-year-old son of Tess Deen and the grandson of Doctors Travis and Carol Deen.

He will graduate on Saturday with a class best 4.862 grade point average. Webb has been enrolled at Wills Point High School for two years, participating in athletics as a member of the golf team, as well as the UIL academic team, the National Honor Society and the WPHS Student Council.

Prior to his arrival at WPHS, Webb played basketball with the Lubbock Titans, was a member of the chess team and a member of the Engineering Club in Lubbock.

Honors received during his high school years include being named First Team All-Tournament National Christian Homeschool Basketball in Springfield, Missouri with the Lubbock Titans, being a qualifier for the International S.P.I.C.E. Cup Chess Tournament, winning the District Championship in UIL Number Sense, being a Regional Qualifier for the WPHS Golf Team, being named Golfer of the Year at WPHS in both 2014 and 2015, and placing 5th overall at the Dallas Regional Science Fair.
