Sausage Balls
If you’re hosting a cocktail party (and who among us wouldn’t want to), these are a fun addition. To make them even more appealing, they have a total of three ingredients and are so simple to prepare! Once they come out of the oven you will be overcome with the desire to eat at least three right away. These freeze well in a zip plastic bag, but be sure to serve them warm if you can.
1 cup biscuit mix (like Bisquick)
1 pound bulk sausage
1 cup grated sharp cheese
Combine all in a bowl. Scoop out enough to make a ball about 1” in diameter, place on cookie sheet and bake at 400 degrees for about 12-15 minutes. When they turn golden and you see the cheese oozing, they’re done. You can play with the amounts; sometimes you want a biscuit-like consistency, other times more cheese. Enjoy!
