Funeral services for Travis Wayne Adams, 48, of Wills Point, were held Saturday, Feb. 8, 2020, at Hiett’s LyBrand Funeral Home in Wills Point. Burial followed at White Rose Cemetery.

Travis passed away Sunday, Feb. 2, 2020, at his home in McKinney.

Travis Wayne Adams was born Feb. 28, 1971, in Dallas, to parents Charles Ray Adams and Sandra Maurine Matthews Adams. He moved to Wills Point in 1978 and later graduated from Wills Point High School. Travis then attended Liberty University in Lynchburg, VA, and obtained his Bachelor of Science in Religion. He was very involved with youth ministry in different churches over the years. Travis attended Turner Baptist Church while he lived in Wills Point. He moved to McKinney about 10 years ago and worked as a teacher’s aide in special education for McKinney Independent School District. While living in McKinney, Travis attended Wadill Street Baptist Church. He loved playing the guitar and trombone and enjoyed collecting baseball cards. Travis will be remembered for his enthusiasm for the Lord, his love for his students, and his compassion for others.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Sandra Adams.

Travis is survived by his father, Charles Adams of Wills Point, and daughter, Abigail Adams of Little Elm.

Visitation was held Friday, Feb. 7, 2020, at Hiett’s LyBrand Funeral Home in Wills Point.
