Court conducting citation, warrant resolution drive

Do you have an outstanding citation at the Wills Point Municipal Court and want to know what your options are? Do you have a warrant and are worried about being arrested and don’t know where to turn?

The court, which will conduct a Citation and Warrant Resolution Drive from Feb. 28 through March 26, wants to help explain your options and work with you to resolve your citation.

The Wills Point Municipal Court continues to be a Safe Harbor Court. Anyone may appear in court at any time to resolve their outstanding cases without the fear of being ar rested for City of Wills Point warrants. Anyone with an outstanding citation is encouraged to call, email, visit the City of Wills Point web page, or come to the court in-person to take the necessary steps to resolve the matter.

The Wills Point Municipal Court will reduce fines/fees and court costs on warrants paid in full between Feb. 28 to March 26. To receive this incentive, you must contact the court during the Warrant Resolution Drive.

“Our goal for this program is to work with defendants to become compliant with their court obligations. This is a great opportunity to come in without fear of arrest to find out what options are available,” Municipal Judge Maria Goggans said.

The court, located inside City Hall located at 518 Houston Street, Wills Point, Texas 75169, is open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday for court clerk customer services and payments.

Please note that the Wills Point Municipal Court continues to enforce strict social distancing and sanitation protocols in all public areas. The Court has taken extensive measures to protect all participants through social distancing, hygiene, and cleaning protocols.

Individuals wishing to resolve their outstanding citations or outstanding warrants without appearing in court must first contact the court. The judge will then review your file and take into consideration any information you provide. You will then be able to go online to pay citations at www.trafficpayment. com or call (800) 444-1187. Individuals with outstanding City of Wills Point violations have a variety of options to pay their citations:

ONLINE: www. tafficpayment.com. There will be an additional service fee for this payment option.

BY TELEPHONE: Payments may be made in full by calling Traffic Payment at 1-800-444-1187. Traffic Payment will charge an additional service fee for this option.

BY MAIL: Wills Point Municipal Court: P.O Box 505, Wills Point, TX 75169.

IN PERSON: Wills Point Municipal Court is located at 518 Houston Street, Wills Point, Texas 75169. Hours are 8:00 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday-Friday.
