Funeral services for Charles John Arthur Mills, Sr., 75, of Wills Point, were held Saturday, Feb. 23, 2019, at Hiett’s LyBrand Funeral Home in Wills Point. Graveside followed at Mills Cemetery in Garland. He passed away Feb. 20, 2019, in Wills Point.
He was born June 1, 1943, in Dallas, to parents, Edgar Debbs Mills and Agnes Lee Nixon. He was raised in and attended school in Dallas.
He married Glenda Arlene Crump on Dec. 15, 1960, in Dallas and they made their home in Garland until moving to Wills Point in 1974.
He retired from Kraft as a truck driver after 26 years. He was of the Assembly of God faith. He loved to fish and hunt but loved his family the most.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Edgar Mills and Agnes Brashiers; wife, Glenda Mills; and sister, Ruby Mills.
Charles is survived by his sons, Charles Mills, Jr. and wife, Iva, of Wills Point, Clint Wayne Mills of Wills Point and Paul Daniel Mills of Dallas; brother, James Mills and wife, Patricia, of Rowlett; sisters, Lois Rainey of Dallas and Jan Mills of Frankston; four grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
